“Killling Me Would Not Be in Your Interest”

"Killling Me Would Not Be in Your Interest"

“Killing me would not be in your interest.” So said the President of one of the most important countries on earth today. The quote is from the President of Madagascar. It was directed at members of an army faction that says it will no longer obey Madagascar’s civilian leadership. How can such a poor country, where more than half the population of 20 million people makes less than a dollar a day, be considered one of the most important nations in the world?
